Santa Maria tile company Matt Clark Tile & Stone has recently finished a stunning tile mural for Marian Medical Center in Santa Maria. The mural features a beautiful tile depiction of an Acacia tree with crashing waves in the background surrounded by carved tile geometric shapes.
Premiere Santa Maria tile expert Matthias Clark of Matt Clark Tile & Stone supplied the tile. San Luis Obispo Artist Jackie Starr selected and fine tuned the mural. It can be found in the Executive Administrators Office in Santa Maria’s Marian Regional Medical Center.
About Matthias Clark
Matthias Clark, owner of Matt Clark Tile & Stone, has been working with tiles for decades. A fifth generation “Tile guy,” he prides himself on his expertise in the industry and impeccable knack for tile and interior design.
It all began in Malibu in 1977, where Clark first began working with tile and stone. When the 80’s came around, he moved to New York and began an apprenticeship with renowned fourth generation Italian tile installer Armand Agresti.
As Clark began to master techniques and develop a talent for creative design, he finally returned to the West Coast. Clark opened his own tile design studio in 2002, which became Matt Clark Tile & Stone.
Having been given the opportunity to work with a large number of professional architects, artists, designers, craftsmen, and clients on both sides of the US, Clark has honed his eye for interior design and tile mastery and now offers his services to the Central Coast.
